Childhood Nightmares

Once upon a time, one psychopathic man started a clown revolution. When I first moved to campus, there was news that people had been dressing up as clowns in order to lure children to them. By doing so, they would be able to kidnap them and continue to do even more illegal stuff to them. I have no idea who in his/her mind would of thought of this. Since then, more states have had multiple police reports of clown sightings with knives and guns.
This sensation has been taking over the Internet the last few days. I'm from Massachusetts, and there was a few sightings there. North Carolina, where I live, had already have had them. And more states where my friends go to school have had them. This means that my Twitter and Snapchat were blowing up with people I know tweet about this "movement". Two colleges that I know of were on lockdown last night. One of them even evacuated. Facebook was filled with news videos and people joking around of Instagram posted pictures of their innocent old Halloween costume.
It's a free country to wear what you like. It's also a free country to carry a gun or a knife. However, is it free to dress up as a clown and carry a firearm with the intent to harm someone? I really don't know the answer to this, but if I had to guess I would say no because it is for an illegal charge. This could be anything from kidnapping, to rape, to death. I know for sure none of these outcomes are protected in the First Amendment.
