Not Everyone Has Common Sense

Not everyone has a decent amount of brain cells. The news seems to always share stories of how this is true. Yesterday was a big day in the news with the Ohio State attack. Another story I read about that happened yesterday is another tragedy.

In Detroit this past Monday, intruders set a house on fire in Detroit. Shots were fired and the house was ablaze. This house belonged to two parents who had two young kids. The parents were able to escape the fire but left a two year-old girl and a four year-old boy in the house with the gunman as the fire was burning down the house. It took police two hours to catch the intruder by chasing him down and arrest him. However, they believe that there was another man involved.

The children were rescued from the burning home and taken to a local hospital. The little boy is in stable condition, but the little girl is in critical condition from smoke inhalation.

I am not even a parent and it truly disgusts me that someone would do that to a child, let only their own children!! What were they thinking? If I were those parents, I would stay in the house and risk my own life in order to make sure theirs was okay. I truly hope that those kids are taken by the state and put in a home with people who would not leave them in that danger. Just because someone has kids does not mean that he/she is meant to be a parent. Obviously.
