Always problems in the NFL

If you know anything about football or New England, you know that Roger Goodell is the devil. Maybe his bad connotation is following me because apparently there is now problems in the NFL down here in North Carolina.

In Charlotte, Carolina Panthers coach, Ron Rivera, has said that he is in full support with quarterback, Cam Newton, who claims that he is being treated unfair as a pocket passer. After playing Arizona this past Sunday, Newton has become so frustrated that he said he plans on speaking up himself to Goodell. Rivera has been in discussions with the NFL officials and Goodell about late hits and calls. As a coach, he is making sure that his player is getting equal treatment and protection. Newton says that the hits he is getting, and no calls coming out of them, are ruining the game for him.

But why is Newton not getting treating fairly? Some may argue that this is a racial conflict. The coach thinks it may be due to his large size, similarly seen with other athletes (including NBA player Shaq). Newton is a large size for the position he plays. When he gets hit, it isn't as noticeable due to the fact that he can "absorb" more and it won't look as bad.

Regardless of why he is being treated unfair, it was good that Newton spoke up (which he has the right to do so), since he seriously can be hurt.
